Star

Skimaskkass Bye-Product hits hard with this album and his chops are the force behind it. So much of the songs in here carry abstract vibes and unlike the later "Stab Something" album, it seems the sound here is much more consistent. A lot of songs are great (Closet Generation, Invisible, Blockbuster) but others rub off as weak in comparison (McRib, George Clooney). Overall I enjoy this album for it's generally good flow, real stand out tracks and as a benchmark the Bye-Product project. Favorite track: Mother Nature in Love.

about

This album "Star" is the sixth full length album, and the first to be made in FL Studios since the first album. This album is a trip through his interpretation of other artist's music, by chopping it up and rearranging it into a sound collage of unrecognizable lyrics and rhythmic melodies. If you enjoy loud, vibrant and choppy music, than you will love this record. This album is 100% pure samples, no pre-sets, or anything extra. With these samples ranging from 80's pop to rap to modern day electronic, you'll get a different experience with each track. From beginning to end, this album is a high point of Bye-Product's discography, and should not be missed.
